A 2011 Thin Blue Line Christmas Wish

Take back our presents from the tree!
We want our brother back is all.
No drummer boy or jingle bells;
Just have our hero come to call

We plea for our community:
Respect our badge and understand,
We're servants in a suit of blue
Who risk it all without demand.

We do not ask for silver bells,
Pay raises, carols, snow, or sweets.
We only wish for silent nights...
No guns disrupting darkened streets

And Hark, the herald angels sing,
Please take this wound and mend our hearts;
And give our brother golden wings
Take back our youth, take back our park.

Our Christmas wish is justice served,
No lame excuse or parents slack..
Removes a shrouded badge's worth
Or gives us all our Christmas back
