A Spiritual Glimpse into Alice in Wonderland

Off with her head!!!.... the queen of heart shreaks... she is only feared.. and never loved... a sad commentary for those who follow in her footsteps... even the rabbit's foot finds no peace in the red painted rose garden... at the end of the day.. when the spoiled queen lays down to rest... her only connection with her enterouge is a fake mirage of devotion bound by the fear she imposes on all those who grace her presence...

Alice, a small seedling, in a world of green and black and red... falls in a hole...after running... from every challenge she faces... its all she knows... is to run... but the clock is ticking... so little time... so much to accomplish... so many decisions... she must grow up so fast... she like many of us... loses her way...

But she finds peace in a mad man... strange how life brings us to the table of a mad hatter and a hare... and a field mouse... and it gives us the directions we need and the knowlege we yearn... to guide our path... there are so many jaberwockies... and monsters... and queen of hearts... that challenge us daily... it is easy to hide and so much harder to confront our castles... the dragon breathes heavy... and we are fearful that we are never ready... that we will fail... that we can never conquer the armies that encamp around us...

Alice... realizes that life is beyond the hole... that fear and courage our found in madness... and that different is good... As Alice discovered Psalms 23:4-5 "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over."

Surely goodness and mercy found Alice that fateful day... when she embraces the dragon unleashed upon her... she fights her foe by never letting go of the sword... by taking the word of what the world defined as a "mad man"...

The queen of hearts is always defeated by goodness...Hebrews 13:6 So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?”... men and women like this evil queen will be defeated in courage... we must always do the right thing... the path less taken... the dreams undreamed... the visions unproclaimed... we must follow the rabbit (our God)... who leads our destiny to victory... we cannot hide any longer... and keep running... turn around... face your "jaberwockie"... you will be blessed with... "wonderland"........
