Left Behind...

In our modern day, we are seemingly prepared for anything... Missiles, war, economic crisis, riots, flesh-eating zombies, etc.. America has amped up homeland security, tightened our borders, and trained all government and military personnel on preparedness for catastrophes and disasters... We appear very secure and very ready.. We are trained for battle, surrounded with advanced technology, locked, and loaded. But are we prepared for what happens when the first 9-1-1 call is taken that a person just literally disappeared right in front of them...their clothes laying in a neat pile on the ground with their contacts, earrings, and wedding ring on top?....

THe responding officer hears over the radio... that hundreds have also disappeared... the 911 centers slammed with calls of drivers disappearing from their cars.. crashes.. planes with missing pilots.. chaos.. all in seconds... Surveillance cameras will only confirm the allegations.. that people all over the world.. vanished.. in thin air......

Amber Alerts will be in the thousands as every child will be taken to heaven.. Preganant women will find themselves suddenly barren.. coffins will become empty.. CNN and news affiliates across the world will replay live video showing the disappearances.. These videos will become viral...

Conspiracy theorists will believe the space-abduction stories in the tabloids and the governments will believe a new technology from an enemy nation has zapped people from across the globe.. Many churches will be completely empty.. except for the fakers.. who went to be seen.. and never believed... And no one will have the answers.. to include Google.. Millions will have no clue that what has happened was prophesied several times in the Bible.. even given an event name... The Rapture...

Many of you do not believe in God, or the Rapture. You may be analytical and do not believe it makes sense. What about all those idiots who babbled the date of the rapture and got it all wrong?? You may believe that God and salvation are a scam that naive, hopeless people have fallen for, but not you. But, what if your wrong? Think about it. Who in your family do you believe would disappear if it is true that all Christians and young children will be raptured and vanished from earth?

The Bible says "Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed. In a flash, in the blink of an eye, a trumpet will sound and the dead in Christ will be raised first" (! Corinthians 15:51-52). Another description is given in Matthew 24:40-41 "Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left". 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."

Bible verses go on and on about this event. I am afraid that if we wait to long... to analyze this "possibility".. it could be to late.. The Bible has been around for decades.. We have prayed to a "God" we do not believe in at every hospital bed, every fallen officer scene, and other events that have scared us to death. Why do we refuse to believe? It is the greatest lie ever told. You are to smart to fall for this. THe Bible is not a car salesman. It gives you an option. It is not a dictator demanding belief. God lets you choose. He does not want children to follow him because of threats. He wants Christians who choose to believe.. even without seeing......... Because then He knows.. they are true followers... If all this is true.. Would You... be left behind??.........

P.S. I am currently reading the novel "Left Behind" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. It has stunned me, even as a believing Christian, how unprepared I truly am for this event.

Failure is a Gift

I sat in the room, nervous. I had sensed this moment coming all week. Though I felt a small comfort and peace, deep inside, I was terrified. I was bracing for the letdown—far from my first. I made small talk with someone twenty years my junior, knowing that soon, he would ask me to step down. That reality was hard to face. My mind drifted back to my first year as a deputy. I had called my father repeatedly, distressed over my fifth write-up. Each time, he told me to thank them for the discipline, not to quit, and to keep my head up. But I was overcome with sorrow. I felt like a failure. Maybe I could earn straight A’s, but I had no common sense. I feared I would never catch on. I was beginning to give up. Still, my dad insisted I keep going. In my first week alone, I had discharged my weapon—firing over sixteen rounds at a bull on Super Bowl Sunday. Not long after, I found myself in a full-blown foot pursuit of an escapee, my face, mostly pride battered from the struggle. My track...

My Weapon is a Melody

Every day can be a battle. A battle for our hearts, a battle for our minds, a battle to discourage, a battle to get out of bed, a battle to be content in whatever state we are in, a battle to bless God even in the darkest times. Satan seeks to crush and destroy us. When we are so focused on our own pain and battles, we are less useful. Think of a nice shiny car, but with a broken hose. This small hose can cause the entire car to be out of commission. This too is how Satan works in our life. He may sit back and watch us break with the smallest hose. That is all he needs to put us out of service. Many of us have been out of service for quite some time. This is because we have so focused on goals or things that may be outside our purpose. How do we fight battles in our life and overcome them? What should our only purpose be? Praise and worshiping God. That is it. God is constantly seeking out people who just want to worship Him. We constantly ask for blessings in our life, but how many ...

Heart Attack

Valentine’s Day is approaching. It’s easy to love those who are kind to us, but what about those who are cruel? How do we love a bully? It takes a conscious effort to show kindness to someone who has deeply hurt us. But when we learn to love even those who have wronged us—without waiting for an apology—we are truly attacking the heart . This kind of love isn’t normal. It’s outrageous. It means wiping the slate clean, deleting the post , starting over—not for ourselves, but to please God. That’s it. We know that God has forgiven our wickedness, so why can’t we forgive others? This is a love that brings true reward. We often think we practice this kind of love, but do we really? The next time someone enters a room—the very person you’d rather avoid—what will you do? What if God led you to walk up to them and bless them? Would you do it for Jesus? The Cost of Heartache We demand payment for heartaches. We take people to court, punish, divorce, fight, and even kill over them. This has been...
